Auto Horiz. This dialog box controls the positioning of Auto HORIZ rules only. The Radio buttons and check box control positioning on a column by column basis and the entry values are table wide.
Column/Gutter. This radio pair selects the primary starting position of the rule to be either in the column or the gutter.
Left/Center. This radio pair sets the rule in the center or left of the primary position. As the gutter for a column always precedes the column, the rule can be placed with these controls at the left of the gutter to the center of the column.
No Hang Rule. This check box inhibits any rule to the right of an align on character.
Vertical. This entry can modify the vertical position of an Auto Horiz rule. It is an offset from the baseline.
Horizontal Left. The left of an Auto Horiz rule is normally set by the radio button selections. This entry is a system wide adjustment of that primary position.
Horizontal Right. The right position of a Auto Horiz rule is primarily determined by the width of the columns and ends at the left of the gutter following that column. This entry is table-wide and modifies that ending point.
Rule Weight. Initial weight for all Vertical rules. It can be adjusted afterwards by using the QuarkXPress Item-Modify.
